And it just keeps coming!

Not quite sure why all of this is happening right now, but I’m certainly not complaining!

So far – as you no doubt know – I have had a short story accepted for the Grimm and Grimmer anthology by Fringe Works, I’m submitting my Shattered Lands: Torquemaster Rising novel, and I’ve been asked to edit a collection of Undead Nazi short stories for Fringe Works.

All good news. I was then talking to someone who has also been accepted for the Grimm and Grimmer anthology. They happen to be an editor for a book company that I like. As we were chatting I said that based on the news, there would be a certain type of book that I thought would be written or published shortly.

We talked some more and I expanded on how I thought such a book would go, and they liked it. I then said ‘Can I pitch this then? To you?’. To my surprise and delight, the answer was ‘Yes’. So, I’ve now written nearly 2,000 words on background fluff for the universe, come up with the main character’s name, and I’m currently working on a chapter breakdown.

Going from a standing start isn’t as easy as I thought it might be, as I was just spewing out things that I had been mulling over, and not giving complete thought and follow-through to it. However, Google, Google Maps & Wiki have all helped me firm the details and places down.

Watch this space, as and when I have some news, you can guarantee that I’ll be shouting about it!
