We’ve had the same sort of thing down here. Part of the harbour wall/pier in the fishing village where I grew up was washed away.
What got me most was the reporter’s final comment.
“Take a look at the pictures, high tide is an hour away, so it’s going to get worse, might pop down again.”
That’s how a couple of people each year get washed away and never seen again. Well, not breathing at least. At least he’d have a different story to report…
